Mother’s Day this year is on Sunday 27^th March. It always takes place on the fourth Sunday in the Festival of Lent and exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday. Mothering Sunday dates back to the Middle Ages when children were allowed to go home from their workplace and see their Mums at Church – a rare and special occasion.

This Mother’s Day feels particularly special as we’re coming out of lockdown restrictions and we can actually go and see our loved ones again. That, just in itself, is priceless but if you would like to treat your Mum to a little something as well, we have put together this Mother’s Day Gift Guide – full of gift ideas.

If, like me, your Mum is always on the go and doesn’t have a lot of time (or energy, for that matter), she will probably really appreciate and enjoy the pre-mixed cocktail cans we now stock from Whitebox Drinks. They are a Scottish based small company who have made cute little cans of tasty cocktails that are gin and vodka based. As they are pre-mixed, all you simply have to do is put them in the fridge and pour them into a glass when you fancy one. There’s no need to buy lots of ingredients, no washing up and no mess. We are not called The Belgian Beer Company for nothing! We stock over 600 world beers, mainly from Belgium and they are all available by the bottle. If your Mum likes a particular beer, then treat her to some of those, otherwise we have pre-selected mixed cases which make perfect beer gifts for all occasions. I drink it neat, in coffee as a milk substitute and also pour it over ice-cream!
