Please note we are inundated with orders at present due to the pubs closing! We’re currently 4-5 working days behind our usual schedule due to the volume of orders and the fact there’s only 2 of us packing parcels so we can stay safe and adhere to the 2 metre rule.
Please be patient and help us out by not chasing orders that were placed less than 10 days ago. We’ve no admin support and are under a lot of pressure! We will get your order dispatched as quickly and safely as possible.

Firstly, you must be over the age of 18 years to purchase alcohol from our online shop as it is an offence to do so otherwise. It is also illegal to buy alcohol on behalf of a person who is under the age of 18 years old. If purchasing from us, you will need to confirm you are over the age of 18 before payment. Please also note that if our courier driver does not think the purchaser / recipient looks 25 years or over, then they are at liberty to request some form of photographic I.D. If the person cannot prove their age, then the courier is obliged not to deliver the alcohol.
Our website allows you to search for a specific item. You can either use the search toolbar facility or go to the relevant side category to browse. By clicking on an item you will find more information regarding that product. It will also list any similar or matching brands, including glassware and gift packs that are available. You can place items into your basket and go to checkout to complete the transaction.
There isn’t a minimum order requirement so please feel free to order as many or as little items as you wish. Most bottled beers are now available to purchase by the bottle along with glasses, branded gift packs and flavoured Jenever gins.
You can purchase items on our website, using the secure card payment option or via Paypal. Ordering is quick and easy, however if you have any problems, then please contact us.
Customers have a choice of payment options. You can pay directly through Paypal or with a debit or credit card (including American Express). If paying through our website, your payment will be processed by Stripe or PayPal in a completely secure setting.
We do not have access to your payment details if you order online as the transaction is completed through Stripe or PayPal. Once payment has been cleared, you will receive an automated email to confirm your order in addition to a unique order reference number (please check your junk folder if you cannot see the email in your inbox).
As part of our commitment to providing excellent customer service and demonstrating social responsibility as to not sell alcohol to minors or accept fraudulent payments, we will be carrying out random telephone calls to customers who use different names and addresses to those stated on the payment details to confirm orders.
Customers must pay for their items immediately. We accept all major credit and debit cards including American Express.
All prices on this website are expressed in pounds sterling. We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice.
We offer free delivery on orders placed over £50 to customers who pay our standard delivery charge of £5.99 (England, Wales and some parts of Scotland postcodes). For orders below £50, postage and packaging costs are £5.99 per order to these areas. We use DpD for the majority of orders who will provide a 1 hr delivery window.
The delivery costs to non-mainland parts of England (Isle of Man and Channel Islands), some parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Islands will incur a delivery charge of £14.99 or £8.99 if over £50. Please enter your delivery address and your delivery cost will be displayed at checkout. If there are any additional delivery costs, we will inform you before the order is dispatched and you will be given the option to cancel.
Please make sure you include the FULL delivery address when ordering, including any business name or flat number to ensure there isn’t a delay in our courier delivering the parcel.
Please also note that the delivery address must be correct when ordering as once the parcel has been dispatched, we cannot change the address, without our courier charging another delivery cost. Our courier company will also contact you via text message to keep you updated on your delivery, so please ensure you add a contact number.
Our system automatically emails customers copies of invoices and dispatch confirmations. To ensure these correspondence do not go into your junk / spam folder, please save our email address, which is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, please ensure you have typed your email address correctly when registering.
Your order will normally be dispatched within three working days, however please allow up to a week if items need to be ordered via our importer. During busier times of the year (i.e. Christmas and during the Coronavirus), dispatch may be longer, also it will depend on stock levels. We use a next working day delivery system so once you’ve received a dispatch notification, expect your order to arrive the following working day.
If you require your order within a certain time-frame, please contact us prior to ordering to ensure stock availability for immediate dispatch.
If you are not at home to accept delivery, the courier will either leave a card with contact details so that you can re-arrange delivery or arrange collection from the depo or leave with a neighbourt. If you do not contact the courier, the driver will try and deliver your order on the next consecutive day (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). If you do not contact the courier, your order will be returned to us. This will incur another delivery charge from you.
Due to the laws concerning alcohol, parcels cannot be left without a signature or in safe places. It is the customer’s responsibility, therefore, to make sure that someone is in to take and sign for the delivery. Please bear this in mind before and when ordering.
Both us (The Belgian Beer Company) and our courier companies will not tolerate abusive, rude and / or threatening behaviour if an order is not delivered for whatever reason.
Please also note that if our courier companies have tried to deliver the parcel at least twice but no-one has been in to accept delivery and you then ask for a refund due to the parcel being late or damaged, we will happily refund the full cost of the item(s) purchased once they have been returned to us but not the delivery cost (either way) as again it is your responsibility to ensure someone is at the delivery address to take delivery.
No compensation can be offered for loss of wages due to failed or late deliveries.
Unfortunately we do not offer Saturday deliveries or deliver outside of the UK.
The packaging consists of high quality double walled custom sized cardboard boxes with custom insert’s that project the entire bottle, to ensure your items reach you in perfect condition.
We have spent a lot of time and effort selecting high quality packaging to reduce the risk of damage, however there is always going to be a risk of breakages / damage when transporting glass. Mistakes can and do happen unfortunately. If your parcel does not reach you in satisfactory condition, please contact us (The Belgian Beer Company) and NOT the courier company ASAP.
