As we are a family-run, independent business, based in Stoke-on-Trent, we feel it is very important that we support other local businesses as much as possible. This month, we have joined forces with our local brewery – Titanic, who are literally 5 minutes down the road from us, to offer you a great deal on one of their beers – Titanic Captain Smiths.

Titanic Brewery was founded in 1985 in the very heart of Stoke-on-Trent by two brothers. Over the years, it has grown and developed and now brews over twenty different beers as well as bottled gins. It is a multi award-winning company, which also now owns an array of pubs.

Captain Smiths is a traditional ruby British ale with an ABV of 5.2%. It is softly hopped with malty flavours. It is named after Captain Edward Smith, who skippered the Titanic and was born in Stoke-on-Trent. Captain Smiths was first brewed in 1986. For this month only, you can get over 40% off on all packs of 8, which is an amazing deal, not to be missed.

If you’re a lover of British beers or like trying new beers, then we stock most of Titanic’s range. Titanic Plum Porter is one of their most iconic beers that has won several beer awards. It is a dark, strong, well-rounded beer that has a natural plum flavouring. It was first produced in 2011 and was originally a winter speciality beer. In 2015, the brewery decided to brew it all year round. We also stock a range of Belgian fruit flavoured beers, including beers from Mongozo, Floris and Timmermans.

Titanic Anchor was the first beer brewed by Titanic Brewery but it was named Premium Bitter. Titanic Anchor is an amber beer with an ABV of 4.1%. It has a hoppy bitterness.

Chocolate and Vanilla Stout and Cappuccino Stout are both popular brews. Both are sold in 33cl bottles of packs of 12. If you prefer your stout to taste purely of stout, then Titanic Stout is the stout for you. Monk’s Stout is a Belgian stout that is definitely worth trying if you haven’t done so already.

Titanic Wreckage is their strong winter ale. Some refer to it as liquid Christmas cake. It has a port-like aroma and is an impressive 7.2% – pretty strong compared to most other English ales.
