In 2017, the brewers used Citra and since then have kept it the same as it was voted the best hop to use by Tripel Hop drinkers. It was awarded a Three Star beer award at The Beer Awards 2017/18 for the category of “Blonde Ale”. In 2024, Duvel Tripel Hop Citra was awarded a gold medal at the World Beer Awards.
