The Schlenkerla Brewery is a family-owned German brewery, now owned by the sixth generation of the Trum family.

Schlenkerla Rauchbier (Aecht Schlenkerla) is made using a historic malting and brewing process that preserves traditional techniques lost during the industrial revolution. It achieves its distinct campfire-like flavour by kilning barley malt over an open beechwood fire, followed by a time-honoured open-mashing and cold-lagering process.
