Beer Description: Crisp, dry and sour tasting. The old gueuze is a blend of old and young lambic that matures in large oak barrels called foudres. It is then bottled in champagne bottles where it undergoes a secondary fermentation. After half a year, the gueuze obtains a golden colour and is slightly carbonated. In 2017, Lindemans Cuvee Rene Oude Gueuze won an award at the World Beer Awards for the category of “World’s Best Gueuze”. It also received a gold medal for the same category at the World Beer Awards 2022. At the 2025 World Beer Awards, it was awarded a silver medal.
