Beer Description: This Dutch Trappist beer smells of malt but has a dry and light aftertaste. It is made with water, malted barley (pale, Munich), glucose syrup, hop and yeast. La Trappe Tripel is best served between 10-14°C and goes extremely well with spicy oriental cuisine, duck breast and soft creamy cheeses.

Brouwerij de Koningshoeven is the Trappist Monastery where La Trappe beers are brewed and have been since 1884. At the end of the 19th century, a small group of Trappist monks fled from France to Berkel-Enschot. There, in the heart of Brabant, they found a piece of heather with some hooves and a sheepfold. They embraced this former country residence of King Willem II – the Koningshoeven – as their new home. They founded their monastery there and decided to brew ale.
